1) HARAPPA : It is one of the most important sites of Indus civilization. It is located on the banks of the Ravi River. It is located in the Montgomery district of West Punjab. The site was excavated by Dayaram Sahani in 1921. The Great Warehouse is the main building found here.


2) TAKSHASHILA :  takshashila is located in Pakistan. It was the capital of the Gandhara region. Takshashila University was a major educational center in ancient India. Kautilya was practicing at this university and he was the first aacharya of this university.


3) PATALIPUTRA : It is located on the banks of the river Ganga and is the capital of the present state of Bihar, now called Patna. It was the capital of the Magadha Empire, Mauryas and Guptas.
